Our Policies

We have high expectations of our work with children, families and organisations – our Relationship Policy outlines these standards.

Safeguarding

‘Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play’ (Keeping Children Safe in Education, DfE 2018)

We place the safeguarding and well-being of children as our highest priority and our Child Protection policy outlines how we do this in accordance with the legal framework.

If you are concerned that a child or young person is being harmed or neglected or is at risk of this you should go to the Essex Effective Support guidance document.

  • If a child or young person is in immediate danger, call 999.
  • If you’re worried that a child is being abused or neglected, call the Children and Families Hub on 0345 603 7627.
  • Out of hours or bank holidays, call the emergency duty team on 0345 606 1212.

The Children and Families Hub continue to offer a consultation line for professionals providing advice and guidance. This can be accessed by calling 0345 603 7627 and asking for the ‘Consultation Line’.

Trained to act as Designated Safeguarding Lead  I have completed a range of Safeguarding training through Essex Safeguarding Children Board , Suffolk Safeguarding Children Board  and the NSPCC.
